What we collect
When you apply or ask about a bed, we collect what you type into the form: your name, phone number, optional email, hoped-for move-in date, your current situation, how rent will be paid, whether you're on probation or parole, any notes you add, and your OK to be contacted. If a referral partner applies for a client, we also collect the organization name.
We also record which page sent you to the form and basic campaign tags in the link (for example, "utm_source"), so we know which outreach works. We don't store your IP address with your application.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information, ever.
- We don't use advertising trackers or pixels on this site.
- We don't set cookies to track you.
How we use it
Only to respond to you: to call, text or email you about your application, schedule a tour, and decide whether Merit is a fit. Applications go to a private company email address read by our owner and house manager.
How it's protected
The site runs only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Applications are stored with our hosting provider, Netlify, in a private database that only authorized Merit staff can access. Spam submissions are filtered by Netlify's spam protection.
How long we keep it
Applications are deleted from our website database automatically after 6 months, and we clear older copies from our form records and inbox on the same schedule. If you become a resident, your resident records are kept separately under your resident agreement.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you sent. Email info@meritsoberliving.com or call 210-538-4833. You can also tell us to stop contacting you at any time.
Health information
Merit is a recovery residence, not a medical or treatment provider. Please don't send medical records through the website. If a referral partner needs to share records, we'll arrange a secure way to do it with your signed release.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
